A stinky situation resulted in the arrest of two thieves, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Last week, two unlocked e-motorcycles were stolen from the Ralphs at Harvard and Main St.
One of the victims tracked his bike to a gas station at Main St and MacArthur, where he found the two stolen e-motorcycles in the back of a car.
When the victim confronted the two suspects, they ran away from their car. Officers arrived and immediately found one suspect hiding in nearby bushes.
While looking for the second suspect, officers contacted a nearby taxi driver who, as it turned out, was waiting for an unknown farer.
The second suspect was finally found by an officer as he was hiding in a dumpster, Oscar the Grouch style.
The two thieves, Austin Lorin Brown, 30, of Orange, and William Jesus Ibarra, 34, of Riverside, were taken to Orange County Jail for grand theft and possession of stolen property.
Be sure to lock up your bikes, e-bikes, and even your non-street legal e-motorcycle anytime you walk away from them.

It sounds like the person who had their bike stolen was the real hero. Good job by Irvine PD to catch the thieves.
