I’m letting Santa Ana’s El Pollo Norteño do the cooking this Easter Sunday

Tired of the same old Easter Ham every year?

I usually fret quite a bit about what I am going to cook on Easter Sunday, but this year I am not going to worry about that one bit.  Instead I am ordering a Family Pack from my favorite Santa Ana restaurant, El Pollo Norteño, and let them do the cooking – and oh boy are they good at that!

How good is their special family recipe chicken?  Here’s what the O.C. Register’s Food Frenzy reporter had to say about it in a recent article, “It’s stained lava-red by the marinade, and the skin is revelatory – grilled and speckled with burnt bits, fatty and crispy like un-breaded fried poultry. There’s a subtle wisp of smoke in each bite, and the white meat is quite good .”

Their Family Pack #1 includes two marinated, mesquite-grilled chickens, one quart of our savory, fluffy home style Mexican rice, one quart of either their healthy whole or delectable  refried beans, their spicy homemade salsa, roasted jalapenos and sliced onions, warm corn and/or flour tortillas and ONE FREE CHICKEN!  All of that food costs only $36.99!  It is an amazing bargain.

Their Family Pack #2 is a great deal if you want more than just their delicious chicken – this special includes one pound of our unbelievable carnitas, one pound of our crowd-pleasing carne asada, one quart of their savory, fluffy home style Mexican rice, one quart of either their healthy whole or delectable  refried beans, their spicy homemade salsa, roasted jalapenos and sliced onions, warm corn and/or flour tortillas and ONE FREE CHICKEN!  All of that food costs only $36.99!

Don’t forget, they deliver too.  Call 800-MI-POLLO.  Here’s what a restaurant critic had to say about their delivery service, over at OC Magazine, “So the food was easy to order and arrived fast, but how was it? Outstanding.”

And you can save $5 by joining their VIP Rewards Club, which starts with a $5 coupon.  Just click here to sign up!

You can spend all day in the kitchen on Sunday and serve the same old tired Easter ham, or you can call or stop by any El Pollo Norteño  restaurant and pick up a Mexican feast fit for your family.  I know what I will be doing this Sunday – and I certainly won’t be cooking!
