How the CA State Ballot Measures fared in Tuesday’s General Election

If you are wondering how all the State Ballot Measures fared in Tuesday’s General Election, read on.

The biggest shocker was the passage of Prop. 17, which will allow felons to vote again. In a similar vein, Prop. 20 failed. That measure would have put some teeth back in our criminal justice system. The only positive note in that regard was that Prop. 25 failed, which means we will still have a cash bail system in place.

Here are the results, courtesy of the California Secretary of State:

  • Yes – 14 Bonds to Continue Stem Cell Research, 5,816,671 Yes Votes – 51.1%, 5,575,456 No Votes, 48.9%
