Groundbreaking to dedicate the new park at Raitt and Myrtle set for Jan. 12

SANTA ANA, CA – The City of Santa Ana is pleased to announce the groundbreaking of a new community park on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at 3 p.m. at the corner lot at Raitt and Myrtle streets. The public is invited to attend and no pre-registration is required*.

The new 1.18-acre park will be built on two City-owned parcels located at the northeast corner of Raitt and Myrtle streets. The $4 million project will include a skate area, exercise area, picnic area, butterfly interpretive garden, walking loop, open space, tot lot, drinking fountains and public restrooms. Drought-tolerant landscaping and a river-rock bio swale will also enhance the beauty and efficiency of the park space.

This park project was made possible by grants under the North OC Watershed Management and the Statewide Park Program. For more information, please contact Recreation and Community Services Supervisor William Sandoval at (714) 571-4258 or email wsandoval@santa-ana.org.
