Get your 2020 Census questions answered at Santa Ana Public Libraries workshops

What is the US Census? Why is it important? Is my information safe? These are some of the questions that we all have regarding the upcoming 2020 U.S. Census. The Santa Ana Public Library and Newhope Library will be hosting a series of workshops for our community to answer your questions and give you additional information regarding the U.S. Census.

Workshops will be held in, English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Dates, times and locations are:

English:
Tuesday, January 7, 2020 – 5 p.m, Santa Ana Public Library
Wednesday, January 29, 2020 – 5 p.m., Newhope Library
Tuesday, February 4, 2020 – 6 p.m., Santa Ana Public Library
Tuesday, February 18, 2020 – 5 p.m., Newhope Library

Attend a workshop to learn more about the Census and how your participation will benefit your community. A $100 gift certificate will be given away to one of the adult attendees at each of the workshops. Every adult who attends one of the workshops will also be eligible to receive a prize on Saturday, April 18, 2020, during the Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros program at the Santa Ana Public Library. Prizes will be announced during the afternoon presentations. You must be there to win!

THE SANTA ANA PUBLIC LIBRARY IS LOCATED AT 26 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA, SANTA ANA, CA 92701 (corner of Civic Center and Ross Street). The program will take place in Meeting Room “A” on the second floor. Two-hour parking validation will be available for program attendees who park at the parking structure next to the library.

THE NEWHOPE LIBRARY IS LOCATED AT 122 N. Newhope St., Santa Ana, CA 92703. The program will take place at the library’s meeting room.

¿Qué es el Censo de E.U.? ¿Por qué es importante? ¿Está segura mi información? Estas son algunas de las preguntas que todos tenemos con respecto al próximo Censo de los Estados Unidos de 2020. La Biblioteca Pública de Santa Ana y la Biblioteca Newhope tendrán una serie de talleres para responder a sus preguntas sobre el Censo de los Estados Unidos y proveerles con más información.

Asista a uno de los talleres para aprender más sobre el Censo y cómo su participación beneficiará a su comunidad. Como premio, uno de los adultos que venga al taller tendrá la oportunidad de recibir un certificado de regalo valorado en $100. Este premio estará disponible en todos los talleres. Además, cada adulto que asista a uno de los talleres también será elegible para recibir un premio el sábado, 18 de abril de 2020 durante el programa Día de los Niños/Día de los Libros en la Biblioteca Pública de Santa Ana. Los premios se anunciarán durante las presentaciones de la tarde. ¡Debe estar ahí para ganar!

LA BIBLIOTECA PÚBLICA DE SANTA ANA ESTÁ LOCALIZADA EN EL 26 CIVIC CENTER PLAZA, SANTA ANA, CA 92701 (esquina del Civic Center Drive y la Calle Ross). El programa tendrá lugar en el salón “A” en el segundo piso. Se le validara su boleto de estacionamiento por 2 horas gratis en la estructura de estacionamiento junto a la biblioteca.

LA BIBLIOTECA NEWHOPE ESTÁ LOCALIZADA EN el 122 N. Newhope, Santa Ana, CA 92703. El programa tendrá lugar en la sala de reuniones de la biblioteca.
