Beatriz Mendoza is hosting a fundraiser for her SAUSD School Board campaign on August 4, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the home of Joe Casas, at 1102 W. Riviera Drive in Santa Ana.

Mendoza is a field representative, responsible for education issues, for U.S. Rep. Loretta Sanchez. Mendoza has a degree from UCLA and grew up in Santa Ana, where she has also raised three children.
Mendoza has the backing of SAUSD Trustees John Palacio and Valerie Amezcua. They are also backing SAUSD School Board candidates Bruce Bauer, an attorney and bike trail activist who serves on the Santa Ana Planning Commission, and Gloria Alvarado, a community organizer for the O.C. Labor Federation.
