Annual Bishop Manor Intergenerational Health Fair to Provide Services, Medical Advice to Central Santa Ana Families

SANTA ANA, Calif. – Families in the Bishop Manor neighborhoods of Central Santa Ana will have the opportunity to take advantage of complimentary health screenings and medical guidance on Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. to noon as part of a free Intergenerational Health Fair.

The fourth annual fair is hosted by The Bishop Manor task force, in coalition with community development organizations, including KidWorks, The Cambodian Family, The Office of State Senator Janet Nguyen, The Office of County Supervisor Andrew Do, The City of Santa Ana, and the Santa Ana Police Department.

The theme for this year’s fair is “Building a Healthier Bishop Manor for a Brighter Future.” The goal is to provide direct service screenings to the residents of Bishop Manor. Partnering organizations will be providing information about programs and services, as well as organizing fun activities for the community of Central Santa Ana.

Bishop Manor residents attending the event will learn about the various programs, resources and businesses available to them and their children. In addition, children and youth attending the event will receive useful school supplies and essentials at no cost.

“KidWorks is one of the most active non-profits serving children, youth and their families in Santa
Ana, and we operate an after school program in the Bishop Manor neighborhood, so we are proud to fully support the Bishop Manor Intergeneration Health Fair,” said David Benavides, KidWorks Executive Director and Councilmember, City of Santa Ana.

KidWorks will have staff at the fair who will be able to share information about the non-profit’s after-school academic, spiritual and leadership development programs that help shape students into tomorrow’s leaders.
