Free Fall concerts coming up at the Orange County Swap Meet

The Orange County Marketplace is a swap meet that locals have enjoyed for many years, down at the Costa Mesa Fairgrounds.  This fall they have planned a series of fun, free concerts, including:

  • Battle of the Blues Harps, Harmonica-based blues bands competition, Sep. 25, Oct. 2, 9, 16 and finals on Oct. 23. Click here to see the full line-up.
  • Common Sense, Orange County’s Favorite Reggae Band, on Sep. 26, at noon and 2 pm
  • Don’t Stop Believin’, a Tribute to Journey, on Sunday, Oct. 3, at noon and 2 pm
  • The Big Squeeze – Orange County Accordion Festival, Sunday, Oct. 10, 10 am to 4 pm.  Featuring Slugger O’Toole, from 11 am to 12:15 pm; Conjunto Los Pochos, from 12:45 pm to 2 pm; Lisa Haley and the Zydekats, from 2:30 pm to 3:45 pm, plus three other stages of accordion-based music!
  • Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon and 2 pm
  • Gods of Thunder, a Tribute to KISS, on Sunday, Oct. 30, at noon and 2 pm

Here’s the catch, you have to click here, download the event flyer, print it out and bring it and a can of food to the concert, to get in free.  The food is going to be donated to Second Harvest, a great charitable organization that helps to feed the poor and the homeless here in Orange County.
