  • There is an insightful article at:

    http://www.csus.edu/ihelp/PDFs/R_DWF_LA_11-10.pdf

This is a study by Cal State Sacramento which details the failure/drop out rate of kids from California's community colleges. The sum is a HUGE waste of tax payer dollars are spent on kids who will NEVER make it in that traditional college.

The study suggests that perhap California has lost it's way since Governor Brown's Father created the CC system. Maybe, just maybe, there is a room for vocational/carreer training at this level.

I know of a lot of LVN's, Respitory therapists, CAD Engineers, Compter Network Professionals and even Hairstyl;ists who have benifited greatly from this kind of education. ALL OF WHOM MAKE A GOOD LIVING.

We need to rethink COLLEGE for all.
