(Santa Ana, CA) — OC Health Care Agency (HCA) officials have recently confirmed Orange County, California’s first pediatric death related to COVID-19 — a female in her teens with significant underlying medical conditions.
“We are deeply saddened by this loss of life and send our condolences to her friends and family during this very difficult time,” said Dr. Clayton Chau, Acting County Health Officer.
To date, there have been 833 COVID-19-related deaths in Orange County. There is currently no vaccine to prevent COVID-19 infection.
