A pedestrian was struck by a car last night, which prompted a response from Battalion 11, Truck 81, Engine 80, and an ambulance to the incident at Brookhurst St and Westminster Ave., according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters found a woman pinned beneath the car on their arrival. Using one of their many skills they’ve trained for, T81 lifted the vehicle and extricated their patient.
Firefighter paramedics provided advanced life support care and she was transported to a hospital.
The incident was being investigated by the Garden Grove Police Department.
