Fatal shooting at the Hidalgo Pool Hall

The Santa Ana Police Department is investigating a shooting death that happened at 1808 W 4th St.

Officers responded to a report of shooting inside the Hidalgo Poll Hall 1808 W. 4th St. When they arrived on scene they located the victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Santa Ana police Cmdr. Eric Paulson said the victim, a Hispanic man in his 30s, was shot multiple times at Hidalgo Pool Hall at 1808 West 4th St. around 1:20 a.m. and died at the scene, according to the FV Patch.

Later the same morning, police announced that two people were arrested in connection with the shooting. One was believed to be the shooter and the other an accomplice, police said, according to NBC.

Motivation for the shooting has yet to be determined and police are continuing to investigate, according to the OC Register.

  • Oh the Hidalgo Bar!!!! Such a cultural site of Santa Ana. You don't need to go to Tijuana, just go to the Hidalgo.....the smells....the drunks, and yes don't forget the "super-size" bar girls in spandex shorts asking for you to buy them a "water-down" drink!!! HA!! No Se Puede!!!
