It turns out that the City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency employs staff called Community Services Supervisors whose job it is to work with the local community and ensure the city parks are clean, safe, and able to be used.

Under direction, these park supervisors acts as a liaison between the Recreation Division and other City departments, as well as with the community, on issues related to programs, reservations, partnerships, project planning, and contractual agreements conducted at the City’s parks and recreation facilities.
Their work tasks include: design, implement, coordinate and evaluate a wide variety of recreation programs and services. Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services and advise staff on methods of improvement. Establish and maintain effective and cooperative relations with, and provides verbal and written information to, customers, community organizations, schools, volunteers, and the general public. Meet with community groups to improve community relations and advise on courses of action in specific problem areas. Assist groups in analyzing and evaluating community conditions and needs. Assist in establishing goals and methods for the execution of programs and services. Investigate complaints, issues and concerns, and follows-up with responsive action to resolve problems and provide customer education on programs, services, policies and procedures. Serve as liaison between the City and representatives of community groups to develop and maintain communications between such groups and City government.
These city supervisors are paid a salary of between $35.86 and $48.06 hourly, which works out to $74,586.00 – $99,957.24 annually. Nice work if you can get it.
