Did mayoral candidate Roman Reyna actually graduate from high school?

Neighbors, community and business leaders are all asking one question: Did Santa Ana Councilman Roman Reyna, who is now running for Mayor, actually graduate from Santa Ana High School and if he did, why has he apparently refused to release his High School transcript? Santa Ana is the second largest city in Orange County and it serves as the County seat.  Doesn’t Santa Ana deserve to have a Mayor that at least has a verifiable secondary education?

Roman claims to be working towards a bachelor’s degree in Youth Development from Springfield College in Los Angeles, and may some day actually get a piece of paper that says “graduate” but that still does not ease the minds of constituents who want to know if he actually has a high school degree and did he pass even the simplest high school classes?

If you attended middle or high school with Roman please contact this blog and tell us what sort of student he was. If you work at SAUSD and can legally get us a copy of his grade school to high school transcript, please send it along.

The voters of Santa Ana deserve more that a potential high school drop-out to serve as the Mayor of this city.

  • That's like saying is mayor pulido innocent of his state crime or the Feds just wasting taxes payers money ? How about the catering truck that sits in front of Norris market on st.andrews I told him to have it moved and he told if do I will loose my business it's controlled by the mayor...so it sits right in front of the market can't miss it....all I can say roman has a big audience...truth over lies always wins....

  • Better yet, someone contact his mom and his sister and ask them if Reyna wet the bed when he was 2 years old or play in the dirt when he was 3 or cried when he was hungry at 1. We can't have a mayor who was once a child!

Art, you should run for mayor! With your honors from that one college that has a commercial you can beat Reyna without a doubt

    • I think I get more done as a blogger than I could as a politician.

Honestly though would you hire Roman to run a company? Of course not so why does he think he can be our Mayor?

    • Well since Roman reportedly LIVES with his Mother (according to his Form 700) that might be easy to do. Further, one could take the short walk (about 1,000 feet to Benavides house that his wife bought him.

What is it with these WEAK men who tout values to youth, but remain unmarried, childless (or left their kids as Bastards) who think they are responsible leaders. Here's an idea: RAISE YOUR OWN KID'S Roman, David and Michele then you can begin to try and tell the rest of Santa Ana what an inspiration you guys are.

I defy Roman to call BS on the editor here, showing his transcripts, he won't, not because it's not smart politics but because he has an tenth grade education.

You are wrong, WE CAN'T HAVE A MAYOR WITH THE EDUCATION OF A CHILD!

  • Roman Reyna has updated his Facebook status to: "STUDIED AT......"

He is already getting heat. I almost feel sorry for him. they way his handlers are using him.
