In July 2022, the Garden Grove Police Department became aware that the Garden Grove Pop Warner 2022 “Bulldogs” football season had been canceled due to the league falling out of compliance with the Orange Empire Conference, as well as losing their non-profit status.
At this time, we also began receiving complaints that the league refused to return fees, players’ birth certificates, and other items required at the time of registration.
Detectives are currently conducting an investigation into whether #fraud was committed during the course of signing up participants.
If you or someone you know feels like they were defrauded by the Pop Warner League, in connection with the 2021 & 2022 league sign-ups, please contact our non-emergency number (714-741-5704) or go to the police front desk and file a police report.
