“With the recent changes to benefits available to our veterans including those supplemented by our state it is important that we keep our men and women who have served our county informed of the changes in their existing or new qualifying veteran program benefits” said, Senator Lou Correa.
The G.I. Bill forum is being held with a panel discussion to answer question on the changes of the Post-9/11 Bill and the Montgomery G.I. Bill Benefit Program for Veterans. The Post-9/11 G.I. Bill provide financial support for higher education and housing to individuals who serve at least 90 days of service or discharges with a service connected disability. Program benefits for those who qualify do not include individuals who did not receive an honorable discharge.
