SENATOR LOU CORREA COLLABORATES WITH VIETNAMESE COMMUNITY HEALTH ORGANIZATION OF UCLA TO HOST THE COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR

May 02, 2013

Santa Ana, CA—In an effort to bring health awareness to the community, Senator Lou Correa will be collaborating with the Vietnamese Community Health organization of UCLA, to host the Community Health Fair for residents of Orange County on May 5th, 2013 from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Board room of Rancho Santiago Community College District – 2323 North Broadway, Santa Ana (at the corner of Main and Santa Clara).

“During this era of economic crisis, many families and individuals do not have the means to purchase health insurance. No matter the situation, we need to make sure we take of our health first. With this said, I encourage residents of Orange County to come and take advantage of the services being offered at the Community Health Fair.” Senator Lou Correa said.

The Vietnamese Community Health Fair will include legislative updates, important information related to health including nutrition for children, exercising routines for all ages, etc… Additionally, health screenings will be offered at the fair including mammogram, screenings for cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, obesity, bone density, dental, among other screenings. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to speak with doctors, pharmacists, and receive materials on the different health programs available that are free of cost.
The Community Health Fair will be a free event. For more information, please contact Vietnamese Community Health/VCH of UCLA (714) 725-8173, or the Office of Senator Lou Correa (714) 558-4400.
