Project Hope Alliance, an organization that assists homeless and at-risk families in Orange County, received a $32,000 donation from Santa Ana-based Corinthian Colleges, the company announced today. The proceeds were raised during Corinthian’s fourth annual silent auction.

Corinthian’s donation will support Project Hope Alliance’s Family Stability Program. The program assists homeless and at-risk families in Orange County in either obtaining or keeping their housing and allowing them to stay in a stable situation and their kids to remain in school.

Project Hope, based in Costa Mesa, allows for working poor families with damaged credit but the ability to pay rent to move into apartments with their name on the lease. In some instances, Project Hope pays first and last month’s rent, deposit and at times, aids in rent payment during the first year until the family becomes financially independent.
