Over the last several weeks, Property Crime Detectives were conducting an ongoing investigation into numerous vehicle burglaries that appeared to specifically target construction workers’ vehicles.
After an intensive search, the suspect, Esteban A. Castillo (39 years-old, of Compton), was identified and located in the City of Anaheim.
On Wednesday, February 1st, with the assistance of the Garden Grove Police Department Community Impact Unit (CIU) Officers, Detectives took Castillo into custody, without incident.
During the arrest, he was in possession of several stolen items. A subsequent search of his car also found additional stolen property.
If you have been a recent victim of a vehicle burglary (in #GardenGrove), filed a police report and recognize any of the above items as yours, please contact Officer S. Orozco at sindyo@ggcity.org to have your property returned.
