Closure of E. First St. between N. Standard Ave. & N. Grand Ave., in Santa Ana, set for tonight

On Thursday, November 21, 2024, starting at 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next day, there will be a full closure of E. First Street between N. Standard Avenue and N. Grand Avenue to through traffic due to roadwork.

In addition, on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will only be one traffic lane in each direction on First Street between Standard Avenue and Grand Avenue.  Access to businesses and residences will be maintained at all times.  Please follow detour signage.

The City of Santa Ana recommends using alternate routes or plan for possible delays since this closure on First Street will impact traffic flow.  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for understanding.

  • That slope project has been going on for more than a year.... I'd like those 2 lanes brought back & minimize the traffic.. it's terrible down here

  • Yeah pick up the pace and start the Santa Ana Boulevard Grade Separation Project before the orange blob tries to take back the 25 million
