Last evening, the Orange County Healthcare Agency confirmed that there were two presumptive positive cases of COVID-19 in Orange County. The HCA will be sending those samples to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to confirm the results, which are pending. The two cases, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 30s had recently travelled to countries with widespread transmission.
“I want to ensure the residents of Orange County that Our medical professionals are doing everything in their power to stop the spread of COVID-19 into our communities,” said Michelle Steel, Chairwoman of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. “That is why I led the Board of Supervisors to pass an agenda item to equip the HCA and emergency personnel with the resources and training they need to combat this virus.”
“I want to remind the residents of Orange County to check ocgov.com/gov/health/ for the latest updates and information by our county healthcare agency pertaining COVID-19,” added Chairwoman Steel.
