CAREER COLLEGE OF CALIFORNIA TO HOST INDEPENDENCE DAY AND STUDENT APPRECIATION BARBECUE IN DOWNTOWN SANTA ANA ON JULY 3rd

Councilmember Michele Martinez will provide a key note address at 6:30 PM

Career College of California, based in historic downtown Santa Ana, is hosting a barbecue to celebrate Independence Day and the accomplishments of its students on Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012. The faculty and staff of CCC will be serving hot dogs and refreshments to CCC students, alumni, their families and friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM and again from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM. Councilmember Michele Martinez will be speaking about the significance of Independence Day and about the importance of voting beginning at 6:30 PM.

The barbecue will be located on the second floor veranda of the Downtown, Inc. offices at the Fiesta Marketplace at the intersection of 4th and Spurgeon streets. Voter registration and financial literacy information will be provided by State Farm Insurance.

Career College of California is proud of the accomplishments of its students and past graduates. Over the past two years, over 200 students have graduated from Career College of California, a large number of which have gone on to begin promising careers in the medical, legal and business fields. “Our students work incredibly hard, balancing the demands of their programs with busy lives outside of school and we are very proud of their accomplishments,” said Niko Everett, Career College of California’s President.

“Coming to CCC was the best decision I’ve made in my life. The people here showed me that I can improve my life at any age. The staff and instructors’ support and genuine confidence in me helped me succeed. CCC became my second home and became my second family. I’d do it all over again,” said Gina Castillo, Career College of California alumna.

Over 100 guests are expected to attend the barbecue. Other members of the community interested in celebrating the accomplishments of CCC’s students or learning more about career training are welcome to attend.
