Buses & Boards Art Show to feature the new electric VW ID.Buzz, on Dec. 4

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA, (November 13, 2024) – McKenna Volkswagen Huntington Beach is excited to announce their Buses & Boards Art Show, an event that blends art, surf culture, and cutting-edge automotive innovation.

Set to take place on Wednesday, December 4th, this gathering will showcase the highly anticipated all-electric VW ID.Buzz alongside a curated selection of works from local artists, vintage buses, and surfboard history.

The Buses & Boards Art Show brings together a remarkable lineup of artists from Huntington Beach and Southern California including Elaine Hughes, Lisa Largen, Sandow Birk, Ricky Blake, Ronald Croci, Norm Daniels, Sam Bernal, Melissa Murphy, Dave Reynolds, Katherine Flynn, and James Dombrowski. These artists’ works reflect the unique cultural blend of creativity, surf heritage, and their perspective of the classic vintage VW Bus that defines Huntington Beach.

Event Highlights:

  • Live Music – Local favorite, Huntington Beach band Nice & Swell, will set the vibe with live performances throughout the evening.
  • Food & Beverages – Enjoy catered bites from Duke’s Huntington Beach and refreshments by Leisure Hydration.
  • Vintage Buses Showcase – Featuring 20 classic buses presented by The Kowabunga Van Klan to support local charity Robyne’s Nest. Donations will contribute to their impactful community initiatives.
  • Surf Board History & Shopping – Explore a selection of vintage surfboards for sale curated by 17th Street Board Shop and delve into surf history with pieces from the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum.
  • Valet Parking – Courtesy of McKenna Volkswagen, valet parking will be available for all attendees.

The event underscores McKenna Volkswagen Huntington Beach’s commitment to community, art, and sustainable innovation.

The Volkswagen ID. Buzz reimagines the iconic VW Microbus for the modern era. It has started to gain attention for its unique combination of nostalgic design, spacious and versatile interior, impressive electric performance, advanced technology, and enjoyable driving experience, making it a compelling option in the electric vehicle market. While the vehicle won’t be available for test drives during the event, guests are invited to see it for themselves and make their own opinions.
