Bullets flew past a little girl tonight while the City Council said crime is going down

The entire Santa Ana City Council took turns lying tonight about how crime in our city is going down, during their televised City Council meeting. But the bad guys apparently weren’t watching the City Council meeting as yet another shooting happened even as the Council Members were blowing hot wind at their meeting.

This latest shooting happened at 1810 S. Evergreen, tonight at 6:45 p.m., which is to say when the sun was still up! When the SAPD police officers arrived they found a male adult shooting victim and his 2-year-old little girl.

The victim told the police officers that as he was driving on S. Evergreen he was confronted by 5-7 Hispanic males who yelled a gang name at him. As the victim continued to drive past the suspects one of them fired numerous rounds, striking the rear of the vehicle – in broad daylight.

One round penetrated the cab of the victim’s vehicle and struck his daughter’s car seat, inches away from her head. The group was last seen running from the area on foot, northbound on Evergreen.

The driver was not known to be a gang member, according to the O.C. Register, which also reported that police investigators found nine shell casings.

While the City Council was lying through their teeth at tonight’s meeting a little girls’ head was almost blown clean off by out of control gangbangers in our city. Remember this when you vote in November. None of the incumbents on the City Council deserve your vote!

This shooting happened just south of Madison Park, in Santa Ana’s Ward 1, which is represented by Mayor Pro Tem Vince Sarmiento. Yes he is up for re-election. Be sure to vote for his opponent, Jessica Cha.

  • Sounds like they attended the Hillary Clinton school of lying? Next thing you know, they will be lying about lying.

      • 700%?..!!.. I hope and pray they don't get, even, a penny raise. They sure won't get my vote.. Thanks for your diligence in reporting the truth. I get all your emails, everyday, I know, for a fact, people are getting shot daily along with many other crime's being committed.

  • Complete joke of a city council... Fire the city manager & police chief who has zero experience at fighting crime. Let's vote for a new city council, we need a complete overhaul.
