Blood evidence leads to the arrest of a Long Beach man for robbing an Irvine jewelry store

One of the suspects involved in the smash-and-grab robbery at the jewelry store at Jamboree Rd. and Michelson Dr. last July left behind blood on one of the smashed display cases.

In partnership with the OC Crime Lab, the Irvine Police Department recently identified Jaylon Amori Strickland, 21, of Long Beach, as a suspect in that jewelry store robbery.

Today, detectives arrested Strickland at the Compton Parole Office and booked him into Orange County Jail on robbery charges.

The Irvine Police Department is getting closer to identifying his two partners. Suspects, if you want to chat, please contact the Detective listed below.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact ttruong@cityofirvine.org.
