Armed robbers posing as immigration agents in Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Calif. – On June 15, 2024, at about 12:30 PM, an adult male victim was riding a bicycle in the area of Newland Street and Westminster Blvd. when he was approached by the two suspects in a blue SUV, according to the Westminster Police Department.

The suspects told the victim to stop and claimed to be undercover immigration agents. The suspects demanded money from the victim or the victim would be deported. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim, the suspects fled eastbound on Westminster Blvd.

The second incident occurred on June 19, 2024, at about 4:30 PM, when a second male adult victim was walking through a parking lot located in the 14000 block of Magnolia Street. The victim was approached by the two suspects who were driving in a blue colored SUV.

The suspects claimed to be immigration agents and one of the suspects was possibly wearing a replica ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) badge. The victim could see into the vehicle and saw a black handgun in plain view on the center console. The suspects demanded the victim’s wallet and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the wallet before driving away in an unknown direction.
