Anaheim murder suspect who allegedly murdered a mother of two extradited from Mexico

Pedro Fabian Rodriguez, was extradited from Mexico and returned to Orange County on Friday, according to the FBI.

Rodriguez was declared a suspect in the stabbing of a mother of two children, in July of 2012, when he was 33-years-old, in Anaheim. He allegedly stabbed the unnamed victim 18 times in what was termed a domestic violence incident.

The OCDA charged Rodriguez with attempted murder and other violations and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Investigators discovered after the warrant was issued that Rodriguez had fled from California. The FBI’s Fugitive Task Force was able to locate Rodriguez in Mexico earlier this year.

The Mexican government then issued a provisional arrest warrant for Rodriguez, and he was eventually found and taken into custody in the state of Mexico in July.

Rodriguez was extradited to Orange County on Friday while escorted by FBI agents and detectives with the Anaheim Police Department took custody of him.

Rodriguez is facing prosecution by the OCDA.
