An armed robber stole shoes from WSS in Santa Ana

On February 11, 2023, at approximately 9:40 a.m., the wanted suspect entered the WWS (formerly known as Warehouse Shoe Sale) store and selected two pairs of shoes. The suspect attempted to exit the store without paying for the items when he was approached by store security. When the security officer attempted to stop the suspect, the suspect produced a semi-automatic handgun.

Fearing for his safety, the security guard moved away from the exit and allowed the suspect to leave the store with the merchandise. The suspect was last seen running northbound through the parking lot out of the view of the security officer.

Suspect Description: Male, Hispanic, 30’s, 5’7″-5’8” tall, 170-180 lbs., dark colored beard. Last seen wearing a black/white/red striped windbreaker style jacket, black sweatpants, and black/white shoes.

Editor’s Note: There are two WSS stores in Santa Ana but the SAPD did not note which location was targeted by the armed robber.
