A suspect stole $500 worth of meat in Seal Beach but then dropped his EBT card on the way out

A male suspect thought he was slick as he went about stealing $500 worth of meat from a store in Seal Beach. The surly suspect threatened the store employees who confronted him but he made a big mistake.

The suspect dropped his EBT card as he left the store. His name as it turns out is James.

The Seal Beach Police Department knows who he is and they have his address. They also know who his getaway driver was. Her name is Tracie and her license plate was recorded on a cell phone by a customer at the pilfered store.

Meat stolen in large quantities like this isn’t stolen for consumption by thieves like James. Nor is he going to host a BBQ for his pals. That stolen meat will likely get re-sold to vendors at the “Swap Meet for cash.”

James and Tracie will soon be getting free room and board at the Orange County Jail. But the only meat they will get there will be in cold bologna sandwiches…
