7-Eleven stores are so frequently targeted by criminals and miscreants that you have to figure their store clerks are fed up. In a recent case here in Santa Ana a store clerk ended up getting arrested after taking the law into his own hands.
The incident happened on July 30, at 6:33 p.m., at a 7-Eleven located at 902 W First St., in Santa Ana., according to CrimeMapping.
The store clerk apprently confronted a suspect who was trying to steal some items, recovered the items then locked the door and pulled out a baseball bat. The clerk then pummelled the suspect.
The SAPD responded and arrested the store clerk. The theft suspect had to be hospitalized.
Our source read about this incident on a police update provided to folks at Santa Ana’s City Hall, which reminds us what a shame it is that Santa Ana does not publish the SAPD police blotter. Many other Orange County cities let their residents know about the crimes that take place int their community, but not Santa Ana. Here is a sample arrest log from the City of Huntington Beach.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the Santa Ana government was more transparent about the crimes committed in our city? We deserve to know which parts of our city are dangerous so we can protect ourselves and hold our City Council Members accountable. Remember some of those Council Members want to de-fund the police!

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS WRONG THE LAWS TODAY. PROTECTOING THE CROOKS AND PUNISHING THE MAN THAT CAUGHT HIM. THAT MAN SHOULD BE GIVEN A RAISE AND BIG THANKS FROM THE STORE.
THIS IS WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR SYSTEM OF LAW. THIS MAN WHO CAUGHT THE CROOK AND SAVED THE STORE THE LOSS OF MONEY SHOULD BE GIVEN A RAISE AND DEEP THANKS FROM THE OWNER OF THIS STORE. BUT NO, YOU LET THE THIEF GO, WITH NO CHARGES AND THE HERO PROBABLY IS FIRED. WAKE UP AMERICA, WHEN TRUMP GETS IN AMERICA ILL BE MADE GREAT AGAIN.
I am going to make sure that 7-11 gets my business. This is where society is going, we will have to become vigilantes to take our streets back. Politicians want to defund the police and take away our ability to protect ourselves. Vote like your life depends on it, because it does.
Just remember the one part of the law - you have to feel you or someone’s life is threatened before using force. Something to consider to keep from getting arrested. “I’ve just had enough!” Is not a defense.
