On Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 3:15 PM, Santa Ana Police Communications received a report of an adult male bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his torso in the 2000 block of W. Chestnut Avenue, according to the SAPD.+
The victim, a male, was dropped off at the fire station at 419 S. Franklin St., which is about two blocks away from where the stabbing occured. The victim was deceased by the Orange County Fire Authority.
Officers located a crime scene and additional evidence related to the stabbing.
The Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Rodolfo Rosell (44) of Santa Ana. The circumstances surrounding this homicide are currently being investigated.
SAPD Homicide Detectives are attempting to identify and locate any witnesses who can shed light on this incident.
