A man was arrested for sexually assaulting an elderly woman in Tustin

On December 3, 2020 at approximately 9:37 a.m. the Tustin Police Department responded to a call of a sexual assault on Robinson Drive.

A lone female was walking along Robinson Drive when a male suspect approached her from behind. The suspect forced the victim to the ground and attempted to remove her pants. The Victim, a female in her 60’s resisted and the suspect covered the Victim’s mouth with his hand. The victim screamed and continued to struggle with the suspect.

A witness in the area saw the assault, ran over to the incident and pushed the suspect off the victim which eventually caused him to stop the assault. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Officers and Detectives responded to the scene and located the suspect hiding in a nearby restroom. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Detectives from the Tustin Police Department identified the suspect as Quin Kalis Sheridan, a 25-year old resident of Malibu, California. Officers are confident that Sheridan acted alone in this crime. There are no outstanding suspects and no danger to the community.

The suspect was arrested for PC 664/261; Attempt Rape, PC 207; Kidnapping, PC 243.4(a)(1); Sexual Assault, and PC 368(b)(1); Elder Abuse. He is currently being held in-custody without bail.
