A four-alarm fire damaged a strip club in Anaheim and several other businesses

Early this morning, Anaheim Fire & Rescue responded to a fire at a commercial building complex located at 1210 S State College Blvd.

The fire spread quickly to neighboring businesses, which prompted the fire to be upgraded to a 4-alarm, allowing additional resources to assist with the fire.

None of the businesses were occupied when the fire was started. Thankfully, no residents or firefighters were injured during this incident.

The plaza at the address where the fire occurred features a number of businesses, including a taqueria, a Subway sandwich shop, a kitchen and bathroom supply store, and the Sahara Theater, a gentleman’s club (strip club). The fire investigators believe the fire started at the Sahara.

The Orange City Fire Department, Fullerton Fire Department and the OCFA provided assistance to Anaheim Fire & Rescue.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation. There is no threat to any other structures in the area.

State College Blvd, south of Ball Rd, was closed for several hours during the fire and the resulting investigation.

Ball Road reopened around 9 a.m. after being closed earlier from Street to East Street.
