A father and daughter from Brea were arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing a Newport Beach man

A father and his daughter, Randolph Aguirre and Desirre Aguirre, of Brea, were arrested as suspects in the fatal stabbing of Robert A. Tamaccio, a 46-year-old man, in Newport Beach, according to the Newport Beach Police Department.

The Aguirre pair were arrested at around 5 p.m. Tuesday in Brea, where they both live.

Newport Beach police officers arrived to the intersection of 34th Street and Seashore Drive, at around 1:35 a.m. on Saturday, following calls about a man on the ground who was severely injured from a stab wound.

Tamaccio, a resident of Newport Beach, was taken to a local hospital by paramedics. He later died at the hospital due to his injuries from the stabbing, according to the police.

This is not Randolph Aguirre’s first tangle with the law. He was arrested in Feb. of 2021, after attacking another man in Placentia. He then led police officers on a foot chase and he fired a stun gun at an officer.

On Feb. 4, 2021, at around 10:17 p.m., Placentia police officers responded to the 400 block of Industrial Way after reports of a man attacking another man while wearing a ski mask, according to the Placentia Police Department.

Aguirre pepper sprayed the victim, and it was reported that the masked man possibly had a gun in his waistband, according to the police.

Police officers arrived and contacted the masked man, who was later identified as 52-year-old Randolph Aguirre of Brea, at the back of a business. Aguirre then fled on foot and was eventually arrested after shooting a stun gun at an officer.

It is not know at this time if Randolph Aguirre is related to Randolph Valendino Aguirre, a 28-year-old man who was fatally shot by La Habra police officers after he broke into a car repair shop and tried to steal an Escalade.
