A dozen O.C. gangbangers and parolees were arrested after a joint operation

Advisory: Joint operation targeting local parolees and gang members results in 12 arrests

On Friday, Nov. 16, 2018, CMPD Gang Investigators, an OC Deputy Probation Officer, and State Parole Agents conducted a joint operation targeting local parolees and gang members, which resulted in the arrest of 12 subjects:

  • Jonathan Cordova, 23, Lake Forest, for a parole violation;
  • Severo De La Riva, 30, Costa Mesa, for parole violation, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia;
  • Brian Evenson, 41, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation;
  • Phuc Hoang, 51, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation and possession of a switchblade knife;
  • Mario Macias, 35, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation;
  • Eddie Martinez, 25, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation;
  • Angel Ortiz, 22, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation and failure to register as a gang member;
  • Ron Roberson, 57, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation;
  • Dane Ruiz, 31, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation;
  • Danny Skiles, 41, Santa Ana, for a parole violation;
  • Mario Solis, 26, Costa Mesa, for a Post-Release Community Supervision (PRCS) violation, possession of heroin and methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia; and
  • Jasmine Swaine, 26, Costa Mesa, for a parole violation.

The parole/probation violations include absconding, possession of prohibited weapons, illegal narcotics, gang indicia, and new criminal violations. All 12 subjects were booked at the CMPD Jail and were later transported to the Orange County Jail.
