90-year-old man dies after being struck by a car at Harbor Blvd. and Westminster Ave.

Tran Nguyen, of Lake Forest, a 90-year-old man died on Sunday after he was hit by a car while crossing an intersection in Santa Ana, according to the O.C. Register.

The accident happened at the intersection of Harbor Blvd. and Westminster Ave. Police received a call on Sunday at 9:24 a.m. and when they arrived at the scene they found the victim lying on the ground.

Police investigators believe that the victim was crossing the intersection when he was hit by a car that was going north. The driver of the car was a 54-year-old Garden Grove man, who has not been identified. He stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died at that hospital.

The police are trying to figure out who had the right of way when the accident occurred. They do not think that the driver was on drugs or alcohol, nor do they believe that speeding was involved.
