2023 Santa Ana Fiestas Patrias entertainment schedule announced

The City of Santa Ana will be hosting the 43rd annual celebration of their Fiestas Patrias event Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., and Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 12:00pm – 10:00 p.m.

Taking place on Flower Street between Civic Center Drive and Santa Ana Boulevard, this event celebrates the independence of various Latin American countries by commemorating the very people whom reside within our city. The event is family-friendly and open to all residents and non-residents.

Festivities will include:

• Street fair and vendors
• Live music entertainment
• Food and a beer garden
• Carnival rides
• Cultural exhibitors and more

  • A.B. Quintanilla III y Los Kumbia All Starz are best known for their Cumbia and Latin Pop styles. They have been recognized with nominations for Grammy awards and Latin Billboard music awards.
  • Marilyn Odessa is best known for her Mexican Regional music style and is also the daughter of Latin American music icon Marisela.

  • Banda Los Sebastianes De Saúl Plata is best known for their unique blend of Mexican Traditions and Banda-style music. Their talent has been recognized as they have spent four weeks in the top ten charts.
  • Graciela Beltrán is a talented Mexican-American singer known for her powerful voice and ability to sing different styles of regional Mexican music including, ranchera, banda, and norteña. Graciela has released over 30 albums and has won several awards for her music.

Parade information

Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 3:00pm – 5:00pm

Parade starting location will be on Main Street and 15th Street with additional route details to come.

All Fiestas Patrias applications have been been received for this years 2023 parade, thank you all your submissions and your interest. This years event will bring a special twist in the form of the theme Hispanic Heritage: Past to Present. It will feature additional countries who also celebrate their independence all throughout Latin America.

El Grito de ceremonia

On Saturday, September 17, the City of Santa Ana with the Consulate of Mexico will host the ceremonial  El Grito De Independencia beginning at 7:00pm on the festival’s main stage. Mexico’s official El Grito Ceremony is on September 15 and honors the traditional call to arms on the eve of Mexican Independence Day.  It is a synchronized call that dates back to 1810 and celebrates the anniversary of the fight for Mexican Independence.

$10 per day special event parking rate will apply for cash only transactions upon entry.  Regular County of Orange parking rates will apply for credit card transactions. Paid parking is available at the following parking garages:

There is limited metered street parking, as well as parking at other City and County-owned parking garages, in the Civic Center and Downtown area. Please be mindful of on-going construction in the area and give yourself plenty of time to maneuver around the construction and road closures.
