The O.C. Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of Dec. 4 to Dec. 11. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved.

  • Fanous, 1621 Edinger Ave., Suite 102, Tustin, Closed: Dec. 8, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: Dec. 9
  • Update: Hacienda Arzate at 1502 E. 1st St., Santa Ana, which was ordered closed Dec. 2 because of a cockroach infestation, was allowed to reopen Dec. 7.
  • El Toro Bravo Tortilleria, 562 W. 19th St., Costa Mesa, Closed: Dec. 8, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: Dec. 8
  • Employee cafe at Sonesta, 17941 Von Karman Ave., Irvine, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: Dec. 7
  • The Copper Chef Kitchen & Bar at Sonesta, 17941 Von Karman Ave., Irvine, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Insufficient hot water, Reopened: Dec. 7
  • Johnny’s Real New York Pizza, 6721 Quail Hill Parkway, Irvine, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: Dec. 7
  • Tai Tea, 874 W. Lincoln Ave., Anaheim, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: Dec. 8
  • Royal Thai Orchid, 1315 N. Tustin Ave., Orange, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Rodent infestation, Reopened: Dec. 7
  • Wahoo’s Fish Taco, 2967 Michelson Drive, Suite F, Irvine, Closed: Dec. 7, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: Dec. 8
  • Makino, 1818 Main St., Irvine, Closed: Dec. 4, Reason: Cockroach infestation, Reopened: Dec. 11
  • Update: Casa California at Knott’s Berry Farm, 8039 Beach Blvd., Buena Park, which was ordered closed Dec. 4 because of a rodent infestation, was allowed to reopen Dec. 4.
  • Update: Slow Fish at 16051 Bolsa Chica St., Huntington Beach, which was ordered closed Dec. 2 because of a cockroach infestation, was allowed to reopen Dec. 4.
