The OC Health Care Agency has released a list of the eateries (including restaurants, caterers and even school kitchens) that they inspected and shut down for the week of May 25 – June 1, 2018. Most of these eateries reopen pretty quickly after the health inspectors determine their issues have been resolved. Here is the list:

  • Donut Star, 902 W. First St., Santa Ana, Closed: May 29, Reason: Rodent infestation
  • Update: 7-Eleven at 902 W. First St., Santa Ana, closed May 23 because of a rodent infestation, reopened May 24

  • Viva Express, 12042 West St., Garden Grove, Closed: May 31, Reason: Cockroach infestation
  • Tokyo Cafe, 161 N. Glassell St., Orange, Closed: May 30, Reason: Unapproved construction/remodeling
  • Unplugged, 12085 Brookhurst St., Suite C, Garden Grove, Closed: May 29, Reason: Insufficient hot water
  • Update: Subway at 1106 Irvine Ave., Tustin, closed May 24 due to insufficient hot water, reopened May 25
  • Panaderia Cortez, 7506 Cerritos Ave., Stanton, Closed: May 29, Reason: Sewage overflow
  • Pizza D’Amore, 6987 Cerritos Ave., Stanton, Closed: May 29, Reason: Plumbing in disrepair
  • Update: China Bowl Express/Young Hawaiian BBQ at 5942 Edinger Ave., suite 106, Huntington Beach, closed May 24 because of a cockroach infestation, reopened May 25
