A male 17-year old juvenile was stabbed and killed in Santa Ana today, according to the SAPD, Case Number 16-23667.

At about 12:50 p.m., SAPD police officers responded to the Santa Ana Riverbed at 2700 W. First Street and found the male juvenile stabbing victim.

Witnesses reported that the victim, whose name is not yet available, had been walking in the river bed when a male approached him and a fight broke out, according to the O.C. Register. The incident is believed to be gang related.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact Santa Ana police at 714-834-4211.

The Santa Ana City Council is meeting tonight. I am sure they will be getting an earful from residents who are fed up with the massive increase in violent crime since inexperienced and ineffective SAPD Police Chief Carlos Rojas took power.

This incident happened in Santa Ana’s Ward 5, which is represented by Council Member Roman Reyna. Reyna recently voted against hiring more police officers. He is being opposed in the upcoming November election by Juan Villegas, who has worked in law enforcement for over 25 years.

  2. It’s the community that is to blame. People say they want crime to be stopped but have a problem with officers enforcing the law. When the gangsters are arrested and killed it’s always the same story… My kids a good kid and not a cholo.

  3. The mayor and his crooks have nothing to do with the havoc being reeked on the street by the youth today. The gang injunction should be applied simple as that. I don’t like the mayor or sapd for that matter but yes some of them are crooks and use unnecessary force. But at the end of the day I don’t see any residents going out and doing anything about all the gang violence. Nobody wants to stand up to these gangs our community sees who does what yet when police ask has anyone seen anything nobody stands up and says yes. So don’t go blaming sapd and the mayor for all the issues blame yourselves. The community wants to bitch about the issues with gangs yet won’t lift a figure to prevent any of it and when the police step in to do anything about it all of a sudden it’s police brutality.

  4. Liberalism at its best you have assholes in the highest positions creating an anti-police climate and now people are demanding justice? Criminals have been far too long coddled by democrats and the far left keep electing idiots and this is the result
