Circumstances of the Case

  • At the time of the crime, Ramos was employed as a security guard in Santa Ana.
  • On the night of Dec. 11, 2015, Ramos contacted 19-year-old Jane Doe, whom he did not know, and solicited the human trafficking victim for commercial sex.

  • Ramos showed the victim his security guard badge, told her he was a police officer, and threatened to arrest the victim if she did not have sex with him.
  • The defendant then forcibly raped Jane Doe and used a GoPro video camera to record the entire incident.
  • Ramos forced Jane Doe to orally copulate him, at which time the victim, who was in a towel, grabbed the defendant’s keys and GoPro camera and ran out of the hotel room to a nearby store to report that she had been raped.
  • APD, who investigated this case, responded to the scene and arrested Ramos outside the Ramada Inn.
