What should the future of Santa Ana look like? What kind of housing and development should be constructed? What type of road improvements and transportation options do we need? How important are parks?

These are just some of the questions addressed by the City of Santa Ana’s General Plan, which sets long-range planning policies that reflect the aspirations and values of residents, landowners, businesses, and organizations within the community. Now it is time to complete the General Plan update process, and the City of Santa Ana wants to know what you think.

On Sept. 14, the Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Comprehensive General Plan Update. It will also have a study session on the General Plan elements, of which there are 12 focusing on a variety of community issues.
