In California, if you crash while driving impaired but there are no injuries or victims, you will typically face standard DUI penalties. These can include:

  • Misdemeanor charge on your record
  • Jail time ranging from a few days up to six months
  • Driver’s license suspension for up to six months
  • Fines between $390 and $1,000
  • Probation for three to five years12

Even though there are no injuries, the prosecutor may still push for penalties on the higher end of the spectrum because of the crash2.
