Advisory: Update- Victim Identified – Detectives Investigating Homicide 1100 Block West Brook Street

Victim: Carlos Cervantes (17) Santa Ana

On Friday, October 27, 2017, at approximately 9:50 PM, the Santa Ana Police Department received a call of a fight in the area of Cubbon Street and Baker Street. At approximately 9:55 PM, another call came in of a subject down in the area of 1100 West Brook Street.

SAPD officers and Orange County Fire Authority responded. They discovered an unidentified 17-year old male down on the sidewalk suffering apparent stab wounds to his upper torso. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at 10:08 PM.

Santa Ana Homicide detectives responded and assumed the investigation. Preliminary investigation revealed the incident was gang-related. This case may be eligible for the City of Santa Ana Homicide Reward Program.
