The Santa Ana Police Department (SAPD) proceeded with their DUI checkpoint tonight, at Rosita Park, over by Newhope and Hazard. I visited the checkpoint at about 9:30 pm. There were about ten cops there and a lot of vehicles and equipment.

Is the City of Santa Ana’s anti-grafitti ordinance working? I walked from my house in the Park Santiago neighborhood this afternoon over to the Barnes and Noble bookstore on Main St., and you would not believe the amount of graffiti I saw en route!

Five Santa Ana Police Department cruisers and a helicopter chased down a white SUV tonight, at approximately 11:30 pm. The SUV was abandoned on Spurgeon St., just south of Edgewood.
Police officers were overheard looking for a handgun and up to three suspects.
