The City of Santa Ana will resume issuing street sweeping tickets on Monday, June 1, 2020.
The public should move their vehicles from City streets during the days and hours indicated on the street sweeping parking restrictions signs.
In order to help the public comply with the statewide stay-at-home order during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City suspended street sweeping tickets from March 15 through May 31.
All other parking and traffic rules, restrictions and permit requirements remain in effect.
Las Infracciones por Barrido de Calles Reiniciarán el 1 de Junio
La Ciudad de Santa Ana va a reiniciar las infracciones por infringir las restricciones de estacionamiento por barrido de calles el 1 de junio de 2020.
El público debe mover sus vehículos de las calles de la Ciudad durante los días y las horas indicadas en los letreros de restricciones de estacionamiento de barrido de calles.
Para ayudar al público a cumplir con la orden estatal de quedarse en casa durante la pandemia COVID-19, la Ciudad suspendió las infracciones por barrido de calles del 15 de marzo al 31 de mayo.

With all of the recent events surrounding Covid 19 and the most recent protesting going on in Santa Ana, it is irresponsible for the City of Santa Ana to begin issuing tickets without at the very LEAST a notice posted on our trees …like the “no parking” signs posted when it’s time to trim the palm trees. You have no problem attacking our trees with notices then INCLUDING the street lamp at the end of our cul-de-sac. Shame on you for citing us. Not everyone knows or knew to go on the website to see when the street sweeping citations would resume. These are UNUSUAL times. We rely on local news to provide updates. SHAME on you City of Santa Ana for not taking into consideration that no one is thinking about street sweeping with looming curfews and people still afraid to leave the home due to Covid-19 and/or the protests. I have not yet returned to work and my car was parked in front of my house. When I heard the street sweeper come, I “out of courtesy” was going to move my car. However at that point, the city car was already beginning to write my citation. My ticket says “signs posts”. There are no NO signs posted and nothing stating the ticketing would resume especially in light of the most recent protest right up the street from me. Shameful!!!!!!!! I do intend to appeal this ridiculousness.
You have every right to petition the citation. Most likely it will get waived. Good luck.
Better late than never. Apparently still relevant. If there are no signs, dispute it. Easy peasy but read the procedures. They’re supposed to offer a payment plan for those who can’t afford to pay all at once but I vaguely recall SA not providing the option. To appeal the initial review (if they don’t waive your ticket), I believe they require a deposit in the amount of the fees along with the appeal.

What do you do when you park your small RV and you. have been parked there 10min but you hear a working of a cop you go outside HEtl you you bee bee there a long time gives you a ticket and leave the area you live in? RV is legal
Your question is a bit garbled. If you have been in the street and try to move it they can still give you a ticket. The best idea is to move the RV the night before. If you don’t have room in the driveway look for a nearby street that won’t be swept the next day.
You can try to challenge the ticket as well. Not sure as to how that process works. Maybe call City Hall?
