REP. LORETTA SANCHEZ FOCUSES ON GETTING OC COVERED WITH IN PERSON ENROLLMENT

Garden Grove, Calif. – Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (CA-46) today led a rally in Santa Ana launching “Countdown to Enroll OC,” her effort to connect Orange County residents with certified, in person bilingual health insurance enrollment services through Covered California.

“Covered California’s enrollment deadline, March 31st, is a big day that’s less than fifty days from now,” said Rep. Sanchez. “That’s why I’m launching the Countdown to Enroll OC. From now until March 31st, I will be doing everything I can to connect Orange County residents with in person, bilingual enrollment support. We are putting the emphasis on signing up in person, right here, right now.”

Rep. Sanchez has been getting the word out about the implementation of the Affordable Care Act since its passage in 2010. She has held in person and telephone town halls and workshops in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. When Covered California’s bilingual services were clearly underperforming, she led a congressional letter to its Executive Director Peter Lee asking for more and better assistance for Spanish speakers. In a display of support, Lee attended today’s rally and spoke about the marketplace’s technical improvements and expanded resources for communities like Orange County.

Rep. Sanchez’s enrollment efforts will revolve around in person enrollment events as well as promoting Covered California’s online and phone services. She has been working with community groups across her congressional district and has nine events, including today’s rally, on the calendar between now and March 31st. She and her staff will also be on the ground encouraging residents to sign up and directing them to where they can do it.

Below are confirmed enrollment events and Rep. Sanchez’s website, www.lorettasanchez.house.gov, will be updated as new events are added.

  1. This was the weirdest event in a while, You had gender neutral Alex Flores peddling sunglasses? STRANGE FOR SURE?? Uber Homosexual and honest Democratic advocate Mitch Star screaming about how his mom or somebody (anybody) can’t get Covered California south of the border (between Santa Ana and Irvine).

Is Mitch telling us that IRVINE and South County has NO physicians that participate? WTF?

Meanwhile, and I know you like him and support his vigor, Admin, Alex Flores is peddling sunglasses at these events, bragging about a partnership with a copier company operated out of a backroom apartment in Orange who BURNED a half a dozen start up business’.
What does a Jr. business venture, have to do with Healthcare reform? I am frightened at the desperation Loretta, Michelle Martinez and others have to reach out to the youth of our community.

Here’s an Idea: Spend some time in the schools, you’ll quickly learn, the up and comers WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS MESS. That’s sad.

Who knows, maybe some paper rep from villa Park, with a Rich, Drunk Dad will apply for a commission and then there will be the beginning of CHANGE.
