  1. Any post meeting information on this meeting? What was the new vision for the City?

Art, could you also send your reporters to cover the Bustamante trial when it starts and Tweet out to your followers what is happening?

!Feliz Dia de Acion de Gracias a ti!

  2. Yes it would be interesting to have gavel to gavel coverage on the Carlos Bustamante trial. SOme of your readers may want to attend the trail but others will depend on New Santa Ana for daily news briefings and Tweets.

  3. I attended. I saw Councilman Sarmiento, the Mayor and councilpersons elect Amezcua and Reyna. The mayor and Reyna didn’t acknowledge each other — no love lost there. The mayor’s presence was a total surprise to most. I guess the invisible mayor LA times article got to him. Sarmiento spoke and was his polished self, though long winded. Reyna was ok. And, Amezcua, with her trusted husband at her side, read directly from a statement. I felt bad for her…she is not a good public speaker/reader and she just seems to have that deer in the headlights expression. Perhaps if she had actually run a race she would be able to communicate with voters.

  4. If I were Angelica Amescua, I would be a little overwhelmed also. How would she know who or what to trust? It probably feels a lot like getting her mug shot done while standing or sitting in the spotlight.

  5. “Amezcua, with her trusted husband at her side, read directly from a statement”

Any video? Is she as cute as that one photo that’s been floating around?
