Supervisor Janet Nguyen and the Atlas PAC are hosting a 2013 Lunar New Year Celebration Fundraiser, for her campaign for the 34th State Senate District – and she couldn’t even find a venue in her district!  That’s right, she is holding this event at a restaurant located outside of the 34th State Senate District, at ANQI Gourmet Bistro, which is located at South Coast Plaza, at 3333 South Bristol St., in Costa Mesa.  The event is set for February 28, 2013, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

I guess the theme of this event is fitting, as this time the Chinese New Year is the “Year of the Snake,” which is an apt description of Nguyen.

Now you might recall that Nguyen voted against letter grade health ratings for restaurants a few years ago.  So I looked up ANQI’s health vi0lation record – and wow is it bad.  Here are the latest results of inspections at this restaurant by the Orange County Health Care Agency:
