Neighborhood Hero Thomas Gordon

Santa Ana’s Communication Linkage Forum, or Com-Link, is hosting their next meeting on June 23, at 6:30 pm, at the Santa Ana Police Department’s Community Room, located at 60 Civic Center Plaza.  Parking will be validated.

The meeting will feature a Celebration of the 2011 Neighborhood Heroes and the Most Beautiful Yard Winners.  Here is the agenda:

6:30 pm to 7 pm: Socialize and network

7 pm: Voting for the 2011-12 Com-Link Board Members

7:10 pm: Neighborhood Heroes Recognition – Click here to see the winners, which include Thomas Gordon, who famously failed to collect enough signatures to run for the Santa Ana City Council last year.

7:45 pm: Most Beautiful Yard Recognition

8:15 pm: Neighborhood Roll Call

Cake and refreshments will be provided.

Com-Link meetings are paid for by Santa Ana’s taxpayers.

    1. I am sure I have better things to spend my time on. Most of the Com Link crowd has no children and nothing better to do.

  1. Or maybe you are a chicken sh_t who is scared someone will tell you off in person? Be a man and face the people you talk smack on behind the safety of a computer.

(Editors note: Rather ironic that someone posting anonymously behind the safety of a computer would post this comment.)

    1. Anon,

No, not at all. There is a mindset amongst the “Usual Suspects” that you don’t matter unless you “go to meetings.” Well, I choose to spend my time with my family and I also spend a lot of time posting on this blog. I can accomplish a lot more doing the latter than by attending meetings. There might be 45 people there at the Com-Link meeting. We average about 650 visits a day to this site. Which of these forums is the more effective means of communicating with Santa Ana’s residents? The answer should be quite obvious.

  2. The nameless cackling cowards on that other blog sure like to talk about where and with whom people live.

Why don’t they ever mention that “neighborhood hero” Thomas Gordon lives in his mommy and daddy’s house? He has never moved out. Its the same house that dipstick lived in when we were classmates at Valley High School back in the 80’s.

  3. The term Usual Suspects was supposed to be retired. But it looks like it is back. What happened?

    1. Anon,

Sadly, the Usual Suspects returned from hiatus, with their racist attack on the proposed move of the Chivas USA team to the Willowick Golf Course. Now that they are back in action as civic terrorists, we felt it was appropriate to bring back the term that best describes them.

  4. But since you’re attacking mostly white people Admin, aren’t you being racist too? Whites are a minority in Santa Ana and your comments are very anti-whitey.

Who gave Sean the free tickets?

    1. hmmm,

I am not attacking anyone – the folks who are doing the attacking are the Usual Suspects. We are just having fun pointing out how ill-informed and racist they are.

As for myself, I am quite white actually. Probably whiter than you! I just happen to be of Mexican extraction.

You will have to ask Sean where he got the tickets. I don’t know. But they were great seats!

  5. Neighbors getting together to ask what’s going on with the city’s attempt to bring Chivas here? What was racist about getting answers? Were you at the meeting? How do you know it was racist?

    1. We already explained this in a previous post. One of our friends was at the meeting. She heard the racists going off about trash and diapers. But none of them have ever been to a Chivas USA game.

Their arguments about school sports are also specious as none of these haters have any kids and on top of that none of them live near Willowick.

What we have here is a racist reaction to a proposed Chivas USA move that is anything but certain.

I wonder if this topic will come up at the Com-Link meeting?

  6. Hey SA VAlley Falcon Class of 83 are you sure Tommy aka El Gordo went to Valley. I recall him telling me he went to Saddleback but he wouldn’t tell me when he graduated. I looked for him in my yearbook but I couldn’t find him. I just figured he dropped out of school and got his G.E.D.
